How do I request information consulting, cataloging and archiving, or digitization and OCR services?

Does Mandumah offer training programs?

Yes. Programs cover database search skills, literature reviews, and Mandumah AI, with training tailored to the needs of subscribing institutions.

Login & Subscriptions

How do I log in to Mandumah databases?

You can access the databases through a subscribing institution, using the access method enabled for its subscription. Examples include:

  • Your university If your university or educational institution subscribes, follow the access instructions provided by its library or designated support team.
  • Subscribing libraries Through public or digital libraries that provide an official subscription for their beneficiaries.
Is an individual subscription available for independent researchers?

Individual subscriptions are not currently available. Access is provided through subscribing institutions, including universities, libraries, research centers, and other institutions.

Why do I see the message "The publisher of this material has not allowed its availability"?

This is because some research papers are still undergoing copyright and intellectual property settlement procedures. Until these procedures are completed, we only provide the bibliographic data as a descriptive reference that serves researchers by clarifying the research details and its subject.

I'm having trouble logging in or accessing content — what should I do?

Use the technical support form and include your institution name, the platform, and the error message or a screenshot. These details help the team diagnose the issue faster.

Downloading & Citation

How do I export a citation for a research paper in APA or MLA format?

You can do this in one of two ways:

  • Click the research title on the results page and select the "Citation" icon to choose the required citation style.
  • Add the study to the "Results basket" and use the citation option available inside the cart.
Is there a maximum limit to the number of papers I can download daily?

Yes, we apply a "Fair Use" policy on the platform, which allows researchers to download research papers and academic theses in quantities that meet normal individual research needs (a reasonable limit). This measure is taken to strictly adhere to the protection of intellectual property rights and to prevent random or automated downloading. The system automatically monitors download rates, and if it detects any exceeding of the reasonable limit or excessive downloading behavior, it takes a preventive security measure by directly and automatically blocking the account.

Adding Research & Journals

How do I add my thesis/dissertation (Master's/PhD) to Dar Almandumah databases?

Use the “Deposit a thesis” form on this website to enter the thesis details, upload the approved PDF, and complete the electronic declaration and consent. The relevant team reviews the request and completes the deposit procedures.

Can I deposit a thesis electronically?

Yes. The thesis deposit form lets you enter the data, upload the thesis, and give electronic consent — no need to download and submit a paper form.

How do I receive the thesis deposit certificate?

An electronic deposit certificate is issued after the request has been reviewed and the approved deposit procedures are completed.

How can the editorial board of a scientific journal include its issues in Mandumah databases?

We welcome the inclusion of reputable scientific journals to enrich our databases. The editorial board can submit an inclusion request through the following steps:

  1. Submit the request Select “List a journal” on this website and complete the journal listing request form.
  2. Review and evaluation The request is forwarded to the specialized "Technical Committee" to study the journal and evaluate its compliance with our approved scientific requirements and standards.
  3. Complete the procedures If the journal is accepted, the relevant department will contact the editorial board's representative directly to finalize all legal procedures, in preparation for making the journal's issues available to beneficiaries.
Are the intellectual property rights of researchers protected when their research is made available?

Yes, absolutely. Making research available in Mandumah databases does not in any way mean transferring intellectual property rights to us. All copyrights remain fully reserved for the researchers and the publishing scientific journals. Our role is strictly limited to non-exclusive "electronic availability" to facilitate the academic community's access to these research papers and studies, along with our full commitment to preserving and protecting those rights in accordance with the concluded agreements.
