Some Saudi and Gulf universities have begun requesting subscriptions to the EduSearch database. The company has received a number of subscription requests for the database from universities including King Saud University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, Umm Al-Qura University, Majmaah University, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and United Arab Emirates University, in addition to several non-academic entities.
It is worth noting that EduSearch was made available on a one-month trial basis so that faculty members could evaluate it and assess how well the database meets their academic and research needs.
According to a number of deans of library affairs and officials responsible for databases at universities, the feedback was encouraging for subscribing to EduSearch. They noted that it would fill a pressing need long faced by Arab researchers with regard to Arabic-language databases.
