Continuing its policy of supporting scholarly conferences and events, Dar Almandumah participated as a sponsor of the 2nd Arab IFLA–I’lam Conference, held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from June 8 to 9, 2015.
Dar Almandumah also participated with a dedicated booth in the exhibition accompanying the conference, which attracted notable interest from exhibition visitors and conference participants. Visitors and attendees were introduced to Dar Almandumah’s services, its role in publishing Arabic scholarly content, and the latest database launched that year, namely Dar Almandumah’s Theses Database.
Dar Almandumah also contributed a conference paper within the scientific program, presented by the company’s General Manager, Dr. Ali bin Shuwaish Al-Shuwaish. In his presentation, he discussed Dar Almandumah’s experience in building and developing Arabic databases and highlighted the achievements and progress it had reached in terms of the size and capabilities of its databases, in addition to the major role Dar Almandumah plays in supporting researchers and scholarly research across the Arab world. A number of attendees engaged with the paper’s themes and emphasized the significant value added to the Arab researcher through the existence of Arabic databases on the scale of Dar Almandumah’s platforms.
