The Egyptian Library and Information Association organized its 18th Conference from December 8 to 10, 2015, in Luxor, under the title “Management and Will in the Information Society,” with the theme “Towards a Smart Egypt,” in cooperation with Luxor Culture Palace, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and the Governor of Luxor, and with the participation of researchers from various Arab countries and professors of library departments at Egyptian universities.
Dar Almandumah sponsored the conference and presented an award for the best paper submitted to the conference. It also participated with a booth at the conference, which received strong interest from participants. It is worth noting that Dar Almandumah was at that time preparing to make its services available throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt through the “Egyptian Knowledge Bank Project,” launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on November 14, 2015.
