As part of Dar Almandumah’s commitment to maintaining a presence at local and international events, the company recently participated in the 18th conference of the Special Libraries Association – Gulf Chapter, held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from March 12 to 14, 2012. Dar Almandumah took part with a dedicated exhibition booth for the occasion and was also one of the official sponsors of the conference.
The company’s sponsorship of the conference reflected its belief in the importance and value of such scholarly gatherings, which provide an opportunity to connect with professionals in the field of information and information services, as well as beneficiaries of databases, and to keep pace with developments in the field of informatics.
On this occasion, the Vice President of the Arabian Gulf University presented a commemorative shield to the company’s General Manager in recognition of its efforts in sponsoring the conference. The company also delivered a brief presentation introducing the databases it produces.
It is worth noting that the Educational Database EduSearch and the Economics and Management Database EcoLink received strong appreciation and admiration from attendees and exhibition visitors, as they are the only distinguished specialized Arabic databases in this field.
The company also coordinated with a number of academic institutions and several Gulf consortiums regarding their subscriptions to the databases.
