Continuing its support for the activities and efforts of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, Dar Almandumah participated as an official sponsor in the 29th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information – I’lam, with the participation of Red Sea University. The event was held in Port Sudan, Republic of Sudan, from November 19 to 21, 2018, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, الأستاذ Omar Suleiman Adam, and الأستاذ Al-Hadi Mohamed Ali Sayed Ahmed, Governor of the Red Sea State, with the participation of the Sudanese Library and Information Association.

Dar Almandumah also had a dedicated booth within the exhibition accompanying the conference, which—as usual—attracted notable interest from exhibition visitors and conference participants. Among the prominent visitors to the booth was الأستاذ Al-Hadi Mohamed Ali Sayed Ahmed, Governor of the Red Sea State, who inaugurated the exhibition accompanied by a number of officials. They listened, along with the attendees, to a brief introduction to Dar Almandumah and its role in publishing Arabic scholarly content, as well as the latest services launched that year. This participation also highlighted Dar Almandumah’s strategic partnership with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, which was recently crowned by the signing of a partnership agreement to launch the International Arabic Citation Index.
His Excellency expressed his admiration for the achievements and progress Dar Almandumah has reached in terms of the size and capabilities of its databases, in addition to the major role it plays at both the regional and international levels in supporting scholarly research across the Arab world.
