Dar Almandumah participated—for the sixth consecutive year—as an official sponsor of the 23rd Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Special Libraries Association, Arabian Gulf Chapter, held in Manama from March 7 to 9, 2017. The event was held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive of the Isa Cultural Centre.

Dar Almandumah also had a dedicated booth within the exhibition accompanying the conference, which—as usual—attracted notable interest from exhibition visitors and conference participants. Among the most prominent visitors to the booth were Dr. Mansoor Sarhan, Director of the National Library at the Isa Cultural Centre; Mr. Jamal Al-Huwaireb, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation; and Mr. Kamel Suleiman Al-Abduljalil, Chairman of the Special Libraries Association (Arabian Gulf Chapter) and Director General of the Kuwait National Library. They graciously inaugurated the exhibition accompanied by a number of officials and conference guests, and listened, along with the attendees, to a brief introduction to Dar Almandumah and its role in publishing Arabic scholarly content, as well as the latest services launched that year, most notably the free Alkashaf database for theses registration.
All expressed their admiration for the achievements and progress Dar Almandumah has reached in terms of the size and capabilities of its databases, in addition to the major role it plays in supporting researchers and scholarly research across the Arab world.
