Dar Almandumah participated in the 21st conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI), held in Beirut from 6–8/10/2010. The conference was titled “Digital Libraries: Necessity, Opportunities, and Challenges.”
Dar Almandumah’s participation included a working paper on the EduSearch database, which was attended by a large audience, in addition to a dedicated exhibition booth for the company.
The event saw distinguished attendance, and the company’s booth attracted strong interest from visitors. A number of prominent figures in the field of libraries and information in the Arab world visited the exhibition, viewed a presentation on the database, and expressed their admiration for this resource, which will serve Arab researchers and create a qualitative shift in enriching Arabic scholarly content.
It is worth noting that most Saudi universities subscribed to the database in 2010, in addition to a number of Gulf and Arab universities.
