As part of Dar Almandumah’s commitment to supporting diverse scholarly events and the advancement of scientific research in the Arab world, Dar Almandumah participated as one of the sponsors of the 2nd Saudi International Conference on Scientific Publishing 2015, organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University from 28 to 30 Dhu al-Hijjah 1436 AH. The conference discussed issues and challenges of scientific publishing in the Arab world, especially journal ranking, the difficulties Arab researchers face in publishing in internationally indexed journals, and the status of scientific publishing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Musaed bin Saleh Al-Tayyar, Deputy General Manager, presented a scholarly paper on the role of Dar Almandumah databases in enhancing scientific research in the Arab world. The paper received notable engagement from participants and generated extensive discussion.
Dar Almandumah also participated with a dedicated booth in the exhibition accompanying the conference, which was inaugurated by His Excellency the University President, Dr. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar. During his visit to Dar Almandumah’s booth, he expressed his admiration for the size and quality of Dar Almandumah’s databases, and also noted with appreciation that King Saud University, among all universities in the Arab world, is the most active and has the largest number of users of Dar Almandumah databases.
