In its latest participation in Arab scholarly events, Dar Almandumah sponsored the 20th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Special Libraries Association – Arabian Gulf Chapter, held in Doha from March 25 to 27, 2014.
Dar Almandumah also participated with a dedicated booth in the exhibition accompanying the conference, which attracted strong interest from exhibition visitors. Among the most prominent visitors to the booth were His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, and Dr. Sheikha Al-Misnad, President of Qatar University. During their visit to the booth, they listened to a brief introduction to the company and its role in publishing Arabic scholarly content.
Dr. Sheikha Al-Misnad praised the distinction of Dar Almandumah’s databases and confirmed that they are among the most widely used scholarly databases at Qatar University. His Excellency the Minister also expressed his appreciation for the existence of such pioneering projects, which have a major impact on enriching scholarly research across the Arab world.
