In support of the distinguished partnership between Dar Almandumah and the University of Jordan, Dar Almandumah participated for the second time as an official sponsor of the 2nd International Conference on Electronic Publishing and its accompanying exhibition, organized by the University Library and held at the university campus from July 26 to 28, 2016, under the title “Electronic Publishing through Cloud and Mobile Computing Technologies,” under the generous patronage of Professor Azmi Mahafzah, President of the University of Jordan.
Dar Almandumah also had a distinguished participation with a dedicated booth within the exhibition accompanying the conference, which—as usual—attracted notable interest from exhibition visitors and conference participants.
Among the most prominent visitors to the booth were His Excellency Professor Adel Al-Tuwaisi, Jordanian Minister of Culture, and Professor Azmi Mahafzah, President of the University of Jordan, who graciously inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the conference. They listened to a brief introduction to Dar Almandumah, its role in publishing Arabic scholarly content, the latest services launched that year, and the strength of the distinguished relationship and partnership between Dar Almandumah and the University of Jordan Library.
They both expressed their appreciation and admiration for the achievements and progress Dar Almandumah had reached in terms of the size and capabilities of its databases, in addition to the major role it plays in supporting researchers and scholarly research across the Arab world.
