The Egyptian Library and Information Association organized its 23rd National Conference from October 26 to 28, 2021, in بورسعيد Governorate in cooperation with Port Said Public Library. The conference was held under the title “The Role of Library, Information, and Archive Institutions in Supporting the State’s Digital Transformation,” under the slogan “The Inevitability of Digital Transformation in the Age of COVID-19.” The conference was inaugurated under the generous patronage of Professor Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of Port Said University. Its activities continued for three days under the presidency of Professor Amani Mogahid, Chair of the Egyptian Library, Information, and Archives Association, with the participation of researchers from various Arab countries and professors of library and information departments at Egyptian and other Arab universities.
It is worth noting that Dar Almandumah participated as the Diamond Sponsor of the conference and presented awards for the best four research papers nominated by the conference’s scientific committee, which were presented during the opening session.
Dar Almandumah also participated with a booth in the exhibition accompanying the conference and presented special prizes to booth visitors. The booth attracted strong interest from participants and visitors, as Dar Almandumah databases are among the databases currently available throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt through the “Egyptian Knowledge Bank Project,” launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2015.
