The modern search interfaces of the Economics and Management Database, EcoLink, are designed in accordance with international standards in information services and represent one of the database’s key strengths, successfully combining precision with ease of use. The database offers several search methods, including Basic Search and Advanced Search. Basic Search provides the fastest and easiest option for new or less experienced users. Advanced Search, on the other hand, is the preferred option for experienced researchers because of the advanced capabilities and techniques it offers through specific fields such as author, article title, article subject, keywords, abstract, source, and others. These fields may also be searched either as separate words or as an exact phrase. Among the advanced options supported by the database is the use of Boolean operators such as OR, NOT, and AND, as well as filters that refine search results according to the user’s preferences, such as filtering by date or material type. Results may also be sorted by title, author, or date, along with other advanced search and retrieval features. The database allows users either to search within a specific journal or to perform a simultaneous comprehensive search across all journals at once.
